1. Is
the Martial Arts at Culin Karate Center full-contact?
At Culin Karate Center, SAFETY is our number 1 priority. As a student
you are trained how to spar with other students while using full
protective gear. There is ALWAYS a "light touch" or" no
touch" rule
that your partner must abide while training with you. As with any new
physical workout program, you may have mild soreness with new techniques and
increased training.
2. What are the appropriate ages to start martial
arts training?
We have students from 4 years of age to over 70 training at our Academy. Several
children have started by 3 and a half years old, so contact
us today to set up
an evaluation to see if your child is ready to begin their Martial Arts and Leadership
training.
3. What if I began Martial arts training somewhere
else?
Contact us to set up a free evaluation and discuss
your previous training. Depending
on the style and years of training, there may be a fast-track program you can
qualify for.
4. How long does it take to achieve a black belt?
Usually 3-4 years, depending on how young you start and if you choose to
attend more than extra classes or take private lessons.
5. Do you offer private lessons?

6. How long are classes and how often do they meet?
Our basic program starts at 2 classes per week, each class is 30 minutes.

7. Can families train together?
Yes, all of our classes are family oriented and we have several Grandparents
who take classes with their grandchildren. Contact

8. Are weapons taught at Culin Karate Center?
Yes! We teach numerous different types of weapons including Nunchuck
techniques, Escrima sticks, sword techniques, bo-staff and many others. Contact

9. Are your Leadership and Weapons seminars open to
the public?
Yes. We offer monthly seminars focused on self-defense, weapons and leadership
